Hollywood’s powerhouse of talent Viola Davis made history at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards when she won the Best Spoken Word Album category. But Davis has been making history for a while. She became the first actress of colour to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a drama in 2015 for her role Annalise Keating in How To Get Away with Murder. She also won an Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in Fences and is also a proud recipient of two Tony Awards. With her Grammy for the audiobook recording of her memoir Finding Me this year, Davis has joined the elite league of EGOT winners — those who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and a Tony. She is the third black woman to join the EGOT club after Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Hudson. For today’s podcast, let’s look at other Hollywood actors who have won a Grammy.
