How will Gen AI change the future of Indian Medtech and healthcare?

Dr. Raheel Sayeed is a physician of internal medicine and an informatics researcher focused on personalized digital health tools and their inherent role in clinical decision-making. Under the mentorship of Dr. Kenneth Mendl and Dr. Isaac Kohane, he did his post-doctoral at the Boston Children’s Hospital Computational Health Program and is currently a research scientist at the dept of Biomedical Informatics at the Harvard Medical School. But, Raheel claims that he was a techie way before he became a medico. Together with hosts, Leslie D'Monte and Jayanth N Kolla, Raheel decodes the role of Generative AI in the MedTech space specific to Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) and Longitudinal Healthcare Records (LHR). They discuss how progress in this field can empower patients to understand their own health, modify the doctor-patient relationship, and advance the decision-making process in healthcare. They also, discuss the maturity of classical AI in a manner that it can co-pilot with physicians today. And most importantly, they discuss the role of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in using AI to resolve issues unique to the Indian Healthcare system to be more inclusive, not just of the population at the fringes but also the different alternative medical systems practiced heavily in our country. So, if you're working with an AI-based Healthcare Startup this episode is a must-listen!
