As of today, she has a grand family of 207 sons-in-law, thirty-six daughters-in-law, and over a thousand grandchildren. She has been honored with over 273 awards for her dedication and work. IIT Delhi graduates have developed a technology whereby rice straw can be converted into pulp and further into biodegradable table wares and other products. Initially, the plant plans to make 2-5 tonnes of pulp per day. Basically, the plan is to convert approximately 200 acres during one stubble burning season. Read more

Delhi Police’s Sangam Vihar and Jamia Nagar Police Station staff members have set an example by adopting family members who survived after they tried to end their lives owing to financial issues. Their miseries started after Jitendra, a lawyer by profession, tried to kill his children and wife and himself. Jitendra and his nine-year-old daughter died while his wife and 11-year-old daughter survived. The survivor, Jitendra's wife Meenakshi, along with her 11-year-old daughter approached the police station and narrated her ordeal following which some police personnel in Sangam Vihar police station decided to adopt the family and arranged a rented house and even paid the school fee of the child.
