Extraction 2 wraps filming  Extraction 2, the sequel to the 2020 Netflix film starring Chris Hemsworth has concluded its production. Directed by Sam Hargrave, the film will premiere on Netflix, with Avengers director Joe Russo’s script. The action-thriller is set to feature exciting action sequences including stunts atop a moving train.   Malayalam film Antakshari to debut on Sony Liv Upcoming Malayalam drama film Antakshari, starring Priyanka Nair, Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, and Sudhi Koppa will premiere on Sony Liv on the 12th of April.  Directed by Vipin Das, the plot revolves around the various predicaments a few individuals must overcome in unprecedented circumstances.   Gillian Anderson to play Eleanor Roosevelt in series titled The First Lady  Iconic film and television actress Gillian Anderson, immortalised for essaying the role of Dana Scully in The X-Files, and most recently as Jean Milburn in the universally acclaimed Netflix comedy series Sex Educatio n, will star in the upcoming Showtime series The First Lady. The anthology series will focus on several former First Ladies of the United States, with Anderson essaying the role of Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of President Franklin D Roosevelt. The series will also star Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, O. T. Fagbenle as Barack Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, Aaron Eckhart as Gerald Ford, Dakota Fanning as Susan Ford, and Kiefer Sutherland as Franklin D. Roosevelt.    New Imtiaz Ali series Dr Arora announced  A new series titled, Dr Arora, helmed by  Imtiaz Ali is set to be released on OTT. Directed by Archit Kumar and Sajid Ali, the TV show will star  Kumud Mishra, Gaurav Parajuli, Ajitesh Gupta, Vidya Malvade, Sandeepa Dhar, Vivek Mushran, and Shekhar Suman in lead roles. The series will focus on a doctor who treats people for sexual health issues, and it will premiere on Sony Liv.    Vikrant Rona to release in 3D  Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming Kannada film, Vikrant Rona, is set to be released worldwide in 3D on the 28th of July. Helmed by Anup Bhandari, the film will be a fantasy adventure, and will also feature Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, Madhusudan Rao, Vasuki Vaibhav, Ravishankar Gowda, and Jacqueline Fernandez in important roles.    Telugu Vara IPS reveals first look  Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, star of hits such as Krack and Naandhi, is set to essay the role of an IPS Officer in the upcoming Telugu film Vara IPS. The film also stars Thalaivasal Vijay, Ravi Kale and Sumithra in important roles, and is directed by Jagadish Kumar. It is produced by Sri Lalithambika Production, with A N Balaji of Sri Lakshmi Jyothi Creations distributing the film.    Indraneil, Ritwick, and Darshana to star in new period thriller  Ritwick Chakraborty and Indraneil Sengupta will play lead roles in Ron Raj’s debut film, Parichoy Gupta. The Bengali period thriller also features  Darshana Banik, Pradeep Bhattacharya, Joy Sengupta, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, and Raunak Bhattacharya in important roles. The film is set in the 1950s around a blind zamindar, played by Ritwick Chakraborty, and his friend, Indraneil Sengupta.
