Kate Mara and Gabriel Luna to play a couple in the sci-fi thriller 'The Astronaut'

Gabriel Luna, who recently played Tommy Miller in the acclaimed HBO series The Last of Us, has been cast alongside Kate Mara for a new sci-fi thriller. Titled The Astronaut, the duo slips into the role of a married couple, with Mara as the titular character – the lone survivor of a space disaster. The film is written and directed by Jess Varley who is making her feature film
directorial debut. The Matrix and John Wick: Chapter 4 star Laurence Fishburne will also play a pivotal role in the project. Filming for The Astronaut is expected to commence next month.
