New Casper the Friendly Ghost live-action series in development A live-action series based on the popular story of ‘Casper the Friendly Ghost’ is in the works at Peacock. The franchise has seen numerous adaptations over the years including animated shows and live-action films. The new series will be helmed by Kai Yu Wu, who has previously worked on projects such as The Ghost Bride, The Flash, and Hannibal. Walker Scobell to play the lead in the new Percy Jackson series Walker Scobell, the young actor, who played the younger version of Ryan Reynolds’ character in the hit Netflix film, The Adam Project, is set to play the titular character in the new Percy Jackson series by Disney+. Based on the series of novels Percy Jackson & the Olympians by Rick Riordan, the plot revolves around a young demigod who must save the world from the Titans. The story was previously adapted into a live-action film in 2010 starring Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario.
