Hollywood star Chris Pine, who is best known for starring in Star Trek, Wonder Woman, and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves, is set to play the villain in a new Disney animated film. Pine will essay the role of King Magnifico in the film titled Wish. The teaser for the film showcases Pine’s character ready to grant wishes, with sinister intentions, to the citizens of
his Kingdom, Rosas. The film’s lead character, Asha, is voiced by Academy Award-winner Ariana DeBose. The animated film will employ a 2D and 3D hybrid animation style, similar to Arcane, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Wish is slated to release in theaters on November 22, 2023.
