From Christopher Walken to Mads Mikkelsen, from Francis Coppola to Jacob Elordi and more stories   Christopher Walken to star in Dune: Part Two Oscar-winner Christopher Walken will play Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune: Part Two, the highly-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed 2021 film, Dune. Lady Macbeth star Florence Pugh will essay the role of Princess Irulan, the Emperor’s daughter. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film also features Timothée Chalamet,  Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Austin Butler, and Jason Momoa, among others. Dune secured 10 Oscar nominations at the 94th Academy Awards, and won six of them.   Mads Mikkelsen to headline The Black Kaiser Mads Mikkelsen, who was last seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, will play the lead role in Jonas Akerlund’s spy thriller, The Black Kaiser. Based on the webcomic series Polar by Victor Santos, the film will also see Akerlund reuniting with Polar writer Jayson Rothwell. In The Black Kaiser, Mikkelsen essays the role of an assassin, who after discovering a deadly conspiracy becomes the target of many killers.   Cast of Francis Coppola’s Megalopolis confirmed Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary filmmaker who is returning to direction after a decade, has signed Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, and Laurence Fishburne for his dream project, Megalopolis. The movie’s logline reads, “The fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius, and conflicted love.” Coppola, who has helmed films such as Apocalypse Now, The Godfather, The Outsiders, and Rumble Fish, is the recipient of five Academy Awards.    Gotham Knights gets series order Gotham Knights has acquired a series order at The CW. The series will focus on Batman’s proteges with Oscar Morgan playing Batman’s adopted son. The series is written by Batwoman writers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams. Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, Anna Lore, and Rahart Adams also feature in the series.   Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan join Saltburn Euphoria star Jacob Elordi and Eternals actor Barry Keoghan have been added to the cast of Saltburn. Helmed by Promising Young Woman director Emerald Fennell, the film features Rosamund Pike in the lead role.   Netflix drops First Kill trailer The trailer of Netflix’s upcoming vampire love story First Kill gives a glimpse of the complicated relationship between a vampire and a slayer.  Sarah Catherine Hook and Imani Lewis play the lead roles in the series, which is based on a short story by V E Schwab.    Sequel to This is Spinal Tap in the works Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer and Rob Reiner are expected to reunite for a sequel to their 1984 rock mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. The sequel, directed by Reiner,  is set to be released in 2024 on the 40th anniversary of the original film.
