Traffic violations in the city increased by about 25% last year with the police registering 63,81,548 cases compared to 50,95,478 cases in 2020. This significant rise in violations in 2021 is despite a partial lockdown in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mumbai needs to work massively on self-regulated traffic in the coming year.
