BMC to install 28 floodgates at Mithi River to prevent flooding during monsoon

BMC has decided to install 28 floodgates on the Mithi River to eliminate flooding during the monsoon season every year. According to senior officials, installing the floodgates will primarily serve to prevent overflowing water from entering residential areas and railway tracks.
