Under this, Indian youth would be granted an opportunity to get inducted into the Armed services,” the defence minister said. Army chief General Manoj Pande, IAF chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Navy chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar were present during the announcement of the defence recruitment scheme. “Under the ‘Agnipath’ scheme, efforts are to create a youthful profile of the Armed forces. It would help to train them for new technologies & also improve their health levels. This scheme will increase employment opportunities with new skills in different sectors,” the minister added. Indian business conglomerate Adani Group and French energy behemoth TotalEnergies have entered into an agreement to jointly create the world’s largest green hydrogen ecosystem primarily in Gujarat’s Kutch, the companies announced in a joint statement on Tuesday. As part of this strategic tie-up, TotalEnergies will acquire a 25% minority stake in Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL) from Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), according to an official statement by the Indian company. ANIL has proposed to invest more than $50 billion over the next 10 years in green hydrogen and its associated ecosystems, and in the initial phase, the company will develop green hydrogen production capacity of 1 million tonne every year before 2030. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reviewed the status of human resources across all government departments and ministries, thereby instructing that the recruitment of ten lakh people be carried out in the next 18 months, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) tweeted. The prime minister’s review meeting comes more than two months after he suggested the secretaries of the central government to take immediate steps to fill up existing vacancies in the ministries and departments, news agency PTI had quoted cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba.
