Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance has become the first insurer in India to launch a standard term insurance plan called Saral Jeevan Bima. A sum assured of Rs 25 lakh under this plan to a 30-year-old will cost Rs 727 per month. Compared with this, the company’s existing term insurance plan costs around Rs 390 per month for similar coverage.
